报告内容摘要：

The evolution of land plants has featured recursive polyploidizations, affecting nearly main plant lineages and possibly contributing to their fast divergence and expansion on the land surface of the earth. Accumulated researches report their contributions to genome repatterning, illegitimate recombination (resulted in gene conversion and crossing-over), innovation of biological pathways, and adaption to environmental stresses.

专家简介：

Jian Zhang Ph.D

Research Scientist /Project Leader, Alberta Innovates-Technology Futures/Alberta Research Council.

张健，1991年获得北京农业大学学士学位，1996获以色列Weizmann Institute of Science硕士学位，2004年在加拿大University of Guelph博士毕业。现在Alberta Research Council工作，担任Alberta Innovates-Technology Futures研究员及项目主管。主要从事作物抗性机理的研究，如环境因素（磷）影响数量性状的遗传控制，油料作物（油菜）饱和脂肪酸的合成等方面均颇有建树。至今已在《Plant Cell》、《BMB reports》、《Molecular biology》、《Plant Molecular Biology》等国内外著名刊物上发表学术论文多篇。
